Drafting Fundamentals - Using Autocad 2004 to Draw a Line From a Point Perpendicular to a Given Line
I guess that the first thing that I must make is to define what I by fundamental principle want to say. Webster defines the fundamental principle as being useful as bases the existence of support or determination of the structure or the essential function. With that said that a fundamental principle of drafting would be regarded as something which is basic or even a base for the procedures which a rapporteur had the practice to carry out his work. This series of articles will be about certain fundamental principles of the known graphic language under the name of writing. This article will be about the way of employing AutoCAD 2004 to trace a line of a point not on a line perpendicular to a given line segment. It is easy to trace the lines horizontal and vertical in AutoCAD very that you must make must light arrangement ortho- and then all your lines will be strait in top and bottom or on the left towards the line. But what you make if you must trace a line perpendicular to a! line which was on an angle. Let us say that I had a line with a slope and I wanted to trace a line perpendicular to it. The manner that I would do this is me initially one or the other type "L" for the line or the line of selection of the line bars tool or line of selection of the aspiration would draw to the bottom the menu. After I have the line orders began me would select my point of beginning on the side of the tilted line that I wanted to trace my perpendicular line top and then I would maintain key MAJ. and to click well on the mouse and the selected perpendicular of the menu of short cut and would click the line. And *whala* I now have a line perpendicular to a line which is on an angle. About the author: Larry Shumate worked as a technical draughtsman during 14 years.
